Jordyn attended Misericordia University in Dallas, PA to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After graduation, she then completed her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Jordyn is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland. She also has completed extensive training to become a certified in perinatal mental health (PMH-C) and dialectical behavior therapy (C-DBT). Jordyn has experience working as a DBT therapist within a comprehensive DBT program, as a school-based therapist serving middle school students and their families, and as an outpatient therapist working in community mental health and private practice settings. She has worked with clients of varying ages, cultural backgrounds, and diagnoses.
As a therapist, Jordyn aims to use the therapeutic space to foster authenticity, connection, and motivation for change. She focuses on incorporating evidence-based techniques and effective coping strategies to assist client's in managing stressors, regulating emotions, and improving relationships with themselves and others. Jordyn focuses on validating her clients' experiences while encouraging them to take steps to enhance their well-being and build a life they desire.
